Tina Gonzalez of Military Mom Talk Radio

Tina Gonzalez  is a 28-year-old mother of 4, Alyssa 11, Ariana 6, Krystjin 3 and Sir Gabriel 23 months. She has been married for 9 ½ years to one of our great United States Marines, Richard and they have been together since grade school. She was introduced into the Military environment in late 2000’s so her life since then has consisted on being involved in single parenting, worrying about my husband and support for other military spouses.

In her spare time, and she uses that word lightly, she ran an in-home daycare business and put herself through college, receiving her MBA in Human Resource Management. Now that her babies are growing up, she is able to see all those things that the world has to offer. She loves to be outdoors and doing active things with the kids. Shopping of course is one of her hobbies, not exactly a favorite of the children’s though. She loves being able to help others out in areas that she is familiar in that may be new or difficult to one who is in a difficult time or unaware of a solution that may be right under their nose.

Easter is just around the corner. There will be no Easter egg hunts for me this year. My partner and I are packing up and heading out on a big traveling adventure in our vintage airstream trailer. But as I look out the window and watch the rain fall, I am reminded of years gone by. I recall the times when my kids were little and we prepared for the annual Easter egg hunt at our home.

    huntbunny

I would purchase bags and bags of little chocolate candies in the shape of Easter eggs. Each candy was wrapped in a pretty foil wrapper. I would wake up very early on Easter morning and hide the little candies all over the house. I think i had as much fun hiding the eggs as the kids did searching for them. When it was time, I set the children off on their hunts. It was a lot of fun watching them search the house. The would look in the usual places. Each year I had to make it a little tougher for them as they grew older.

The fun part of it all was that months after the hunt we would find a random egg here and there. Oh what a treat!
