At 21 years old, Lauren Flaim is an enthusiastic former teen mom and current business owner of the newly opened Salon Amore in Suffolk, VA. With the success of her salon opening only four months ago, Lauren has become an inspiration to teen moms everywhere.
As a 15 year old teen mother, Lauren overcame many emotional, physical and economic challenges to ensure financial independence for herself and her daughter. “Getting through high school was hard as a pregnant student and teenage mother. But regardless of what I was told by my peers, I always knew my passion in life, and I wasn’t going to stop until I got what I wanted. The best part of living in America is that anyone can accomplish their dream as long as they’re willing to work hard enough,” says Flaim.
Salon Amore, named for Lauren’s love of hair, officially opened its’ doors for clientele on December 11th, 2009. Due to reputation, the salon has seen steady growth in business since opening the location with only 300 clients in December of 2009. Lauren’s salon is home to 5 stylists (including herself), who were previously unemployed due to the economy or laid-off. The staff, which includes sister Amber as assistant manager, now serve more than 800 individual clientele with new referral based appointments booked every week, demonstrating that despite a challenging economy, Salon Amore is fast becoming a local industry favorite.Military Mom Talk Radio on airs on Mondays at 2pm pst on www.toginet.com and can be downloaded directly from www.itunes.com . Military Mom Talk Radio is co-hosted by Sandra Beck and Tina Gonzalez and powered by Motherhood Incorporated.

Press Release
(Los Angeles ) Tune in July 13th at 3pm pst at www.toginet.com or check Motherhood Talk Radio out at www.itunes.com. The good, the bad and the ugly will be revealed as Christy Holly, Rick Swanson and Sandra Beck talk about how they are doing in the 1st annual summer Fit to Strip Challenge.
Last week we heard the girls talk about fitting into summer clothes and feeling good at swim parties and bbq’s. Stupid Diet Guy was on hand to lend the man’s point of view and was summarily dismissed by the girls because he eats what he wants and doesn’t gain a pound.  The girls struggle with balancing time to work out and their children – while Stupid Diet Guy merrily heads to the gym unencumbered.
This week however, the trio is called to the carpet about their Taco Bell, Jack in the Box and Wendy’s visits along with a check in regarding their diet soda habits by nutritionist, trainer and college professor Rona Brynin. All four guests make their home in Acton, California a rural horse community outside of Los Angeles.
Tune in each week at 3pm pst on Toginet.com or catch up with the show on itunes or Motherhood Talk Radio where you can hear the broadcasts. Motherhood Talk Radio is powered by Motherhood Incorporated and hosted by Toginet Radio.
